1954 Chevrolet 3100
Description
This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 five-window pickup was modified around 2010. Riding on a boxed frame with a Plymouth Volare-sourced front end, the truck is powered by a 383ci ZZ V8 linked to a 700R4 automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end with 3.70 gears. The exterior was refinished with red paintwork, a mahogany bed, and chrome trim, and Cragar SS wheels were installed along with 11″ front disc brakes, an Ididit column, Vintage Air climate control, power windows, and an Alpine stereo. The tailgate has bowtie pinstriping and hidden latches and cables. The mahogany bed is separated by chrome strips and has a flush fuel filler for the stainless-steel fuel tank. A battery jump post is located under the right-side running board, and there is a battery disconnect behind the right seat. The front end was sourced from a Plymouth Volare, the frame was boxed, and Chassis Engineering rear springs were installed along with Bilstein shocks, power steering, 11″ front disc brakes, and stainless-steel lines. The 15″ Cragar wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The 383ci ZZ V8 is topped by a polished-aluminum intake manifold and a Holley carburetor. The exhaust manifolds have been powder-coated and are linked to a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
